Hi--I have a Canon HV20. I'm looking to step up a notch. Wondered what anyone thinks of the Rebel T3i or other EOS cams and whether they are a significant step up from the HV 20.

Last year I was asked to present a session about "Understanding Audio for Video" for the local video club, and the following is an excerpt from that presentation. It is mostly on general concepts, rather than specifics, but I trust this will help some to have an understanding, and then at least be aware of what the problems are (and what needs to be done to overcome them)
