Thought I would just post a pic of my latest rig. It's a camera slider that has a 1.25m (50") left to right range as well as the same range front to back. Easy to make using standard light door slider track and running rig units

Works like a dream too!!!!

Whilst I was digging thru the archives in my DVD stack looking for the Panny Magicwire schematics I also found a neat diagram of how to build a little box that will allow you to take a line output (from a board feed etc etc) and be able to plug it into your camera's mic input.

For some time I've seen many people struggle with getting good audio from Mixers etc into their camera. Last year I was asked to present a session about "Understanding Audio for Video" for the local video club, and the following is an excerpt from that presentation. It is mostly on general concepts, rather than specifics, but I trust this will help some to have an understanding, and then at least be aware of what the problems are (and what needs to be done to overcome them)...
