I've experimented with just about every kind of light for both video and stills. And, while LED panels looked intriguing, the limited potential for control using softboxes kept me from going in that direction. Recently, however, some major, and less known, have announced high powered LED lights that are designed with a Bowens softbox mount. I'll share a bit about me: I've earned back my investment in equipment, but got too busy with other forms of media work to really pursue paid videography gigs. I'm thinking about taking another run at the wedding industry shooting one man budget weddings but it looks like I have a lot of competitors offering prices in that $300 to $500 range. Last year I was asked to present a session about "Understanding Audio for Video" for the local video club, and the following is an excerpt from that presentation.
